Spontaneous Mullet Sighting
Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 4:36PM
Occurred in the wild, near frozen pizza display, Cub Foods, Bloomington, MN, 21 May 2009 approx 4:35 PM CDT.
One must try to report these sightings as soon as they occur. In our local habitat they're becoming quite scarce.

They have become more scarce out here on the East Coast as well. I suppose it's a good thing although it's not a funny thing.
Somehow it's almost magical that he's looking deeply into frozen pizza items. I would wonder into his train of thought, but perhaps I shan't, for that realm lies hockey stats and beers drank at a far more distant time, and beers soon to be consumed.....
Between the mullet, the neon orange shirt, and the fishbelly white legs, how can this man NOT be covered in beautiful women??
Completely unrelated question- has Riff Trax ever considered doing Tourist Trap, that Chuck Conners flick?
Kevin, I was just now searching around to see if I could find a way to contact you and found your site. I was re-reading A Year at the Movies last week (it's a good tub book) and thinking how much I wish you'd write another book, about movies or whatever else crosses your mind.
My husband was looking for something to read tonight and I handed him your book--he was only about a page into it before the chuckling started. He of course knows who you are, since I've been watching my MST3K tapes obsessively for 16 years, and he looked up and said, "I love the way this guy thinks."
Just thought you'd like to know you're appreciated in our house!
(Is there any possibility that the pizza cooler is actually a time portal to/from 1991? He's looking into it awfully longingly.)
Um, Kevin, I recently came into possession of the KTMA MST episodes and during one was a local commercial featuring a disturbingly mulleted young Kevin Murphy.
Of course, at least you have the excuse that it was 1988.
I'll bet the front of his shirt reads "CASTLETON"
They're becoming scarce in your region because they're migrating to MY neck of the woods - the west coast. Specifically Idaho, but they tend to show up in Oregon more often than not like a bad rash.
i'll be sure to catch some and send them back your way.
